I got very inspired by a blog post from last month by my friend
Therese Calvrid ( Lost In Paper blog ) when I decided to start my Christmas cards for this year....I really liked how she made the fantastic backgrounds for her cards by repeat stamping...I think it's a great way to get into the swing of festive cardmaking...especially for someone like me who had yet to make a start.. :)
I have created the backgrounds for all my cards in the same way...I first chose all the images from the stamp set that I wanted to repeat stamp... I then stamped it all over the white front panel using black onyx Versafine ink and stuck these panel to a plain white card base...
On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped some of the same images and some other images that I wanted to place on the card front..I clear embossed and then coloured these images using my alcohol markers...
I stamped the sentiments on a red cardstock (blue cardstock for one card) using watermark ink and heat embossed them all using white embossing powder...I cut them into strips and adhered them to the card front using some adhesive foam strips for a bit of dimension...
Next, I adhered the die cut images to the cards, making sure not to add too many...I added a bit of embellishments to them all and my cards were ready...
So what do you think of my cards??Let me know by writing your comment below...
Thank you so much for taking the time and visiting my blog today...Have a wonderful, happy and crafty day ahead...!!
