Warm Wishes - Time Out Challenge #112

The theme for challenge #112 at Time Out Challenges is 'warm'...and I think viewing the NYE fireworks to ring in the new year gives us a nice warm and happy feeling...and a hope of great things in the coming year...we have always gone out to view the fireworks and this last time we took the dog along too...he didn't care about the fireworks but loved being with us..!!

So I have created this warm wishes fireworks card for the 'warm' theme of the challenge...

I started by applying some Distress Inks on a white watercolour cardstock panel to create the night sky...I have used squeezed lemonade, stormy sky, chipped sapphire, weathered wood and black soot shades here...

Next, I started stamping the fireworks stamps - just a few at a time - with watermark ink and heat embossed the images using various shades of metallic embossing powders like gold, silver, platinum, copper, etc...I die cut this panel to size using a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a plain white card base..

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped and coloured in the little penguin and cut it out...I stamped the sentiment on a white banner and added a gold foil banner layer behind it before adhering it to the card using adhesive foam squares...I adhered the penguin on and above the sentiment label...and to embellish my card I have used various confetti and star sequins...
