G'Day Mate

As I was making the background for this card, I wasn't sure it would work with the images and my layout...but once I die cut the front panel and added a green dotty paper behind it, it all seemed to work somehow...and I'm still shaking my head as I have no idea what exactly made things work here...!!

I started by printing random triangles on a piece of white cardstock using the triangle stencil and Distress Inks...I have used scattered straw, tumbles glass and shaded lilac here..I then die cut this panel using a stitched rectangle die and also embossed one smaller stitched rectangle border on this panel...

On a piece of Bristol cardstock, I stamped the Kangaroo, Kookaburra, tree and grass images and coloured them in with Zig markers and a water brush and once dry, I die cut these images and adhered them to the white front panel...

I adhered the green and white polka dot patterned paper on a white card base and then added the white panel on top...I stamped the sentiment on a speech bubble and adhered it to the card front so it seems that the Kangaroo is saying hello to the Kookaburra...

To embellish my card I have used clear sequins and applied some Nuvo glaze to the two Aussie animals..

Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today...Hope you will have a wonderful day ahead...!!
