Smile Crocodile

I have finally been able to try one of the techniques shared by Jennifer McGuire for stamping on Kraft cardstock and getting brighter results from coloured ink...the trick it seems is to stamp first with white pigment ink and then with the coloured ink...and any kind of a stamping tool like the MISTI or TH stamp platform would definitely come in handy...although for my card I have used a stencil not stamps but the process is the same...

After cutting the front panel to size, I used a circle stencil with an inking sponge to apply unicorn white ink and then various Oxide inks to create my pattern...once completely dry,I stamped the chevron grid background stamp covering this panel with watermark ink and then heat embossed it with a super fine pearl embossing powder...I adhered this panel to a Kraft cardstock card base and started on the other elements of my card..

I stamped the cute koala and crocodile on a piece of white cardstock and coloured them in using Zig  pens and a water brush...I die cut them using the coordinating dies and set them aside....I die cut the word smile from white cardstock ) which I coloured blue using salty ocean Oxide ink and two more time from Kraft cardstock and layered them before adhering to the card stock..I stamped the word 'crocodile' on a white label and placed it below the large word...

I adhered the koala and crocodile images using some foam squares and also applied some Nuvo gloss to these images for a bit of shine and dimension...to embellish my card I have added some white dot sequins...
