Something To Make You Smile

When I made a shaker card few days ago,I was left with the die cut word 'smile'...had I kept the die cut somewhere 'safe' to 'use later', I really would've never got around to using it...and it was perfect for this card so I was quite happy I was able to use the die cut word...

Firstly,I stamped the dotted background using Distress Oxide inks and the polka dot turnabout stamp...I have used blueprint sketch, evergreen bough, picked raspberry and seedless preserves shades here...I then die cut the front panel from the stamped piece using a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a pink textured card base..

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and gold heat embossed the flowers and leaf images and coloured them in using a water brush and the same colours of Oxide inks that I used to create the polka dot pattern...I die cut them using the coordinating dies and placed them on my card, making sure to leave the right amount of space for the sentiment...

I sponged in some mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch Oxide inks on the die cut word before adhering it near the base of the panel...I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a white die cut banner and adhered it above the die cut word...

I applied some shimmer to the flowers and added some clear sequins to embellish it...

I'm glad you stopped by my blog today....Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead...Happy crafting..!!
