Pivot Pop Up Birthday Card

I have had an awesome time making this pivot pop up card...the Lawn Fawn die makes it super easy and so much fun...I had already seen how it works in a few youtube videos, but the very first time I opened my card after the pop up element was added inside it - I may have squealed like a happy  little child!!!

It was a bit hard to take pictures of how the pop up element works in this card so I'm sharing a video of my finished card first and a few photos as well...

For this card, I have used a plain white top fold card base and simply added a die cut striped purple paper from the LF Really Rainbow paper pack for the front panel...I adhered a coloured in giraffe image and stamped the sentiment directly on the panel...I have also added a little bird above that sentiment and to make the giraffe and the bird look bright and shiny,I applied some Nuvo glaze on them...

Now to the fun part...the pivot pop on the inside of the card...I just had to die cut and assemble the elements which was quite easy...but before I put it all together,I created the scene on the long pop up panel...I used Distress inks to create the background and the trees and then added the coloured in and cut out animals and the tiny die cut clouds...I also stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on this panel...once this panel was ready,I first adhered the pop up mechanism at the center of the card inside and then adhered the panel to it...

I also added some die cut clouds and grass borders on the inside of the card as well as a tiny branch with a parrot on it and my card was ready..I did have to open and close it a few times so that the mechanism starts to work properly and after a while it did..
