Easter Bunny

I love creating backgrounds for my cards and one of my most used technique is using stencils and inks...recently I saw an awesome tutorial by Stephanie on the MFT Blog in which she had used the Drifts & Hills stencil to create the most beautiful patterns on her cards...so I was very inspired and wanted to try creating a pattern myself....

I started by die cutting the front panel of my card using a large dotted rectangle die and then sponged in three different Distress Oxide inks and the Drifts & Hills stencil to create the background...I have used blueprint sketch, spiced marmalade and squeezed lemonade shades here...I also sprinkled some water for effect...once dry,I adhered this panel to a plain white card base...

To create the big carrot I wanted to use some orange felt which I thought I had...but since I didn't,I die cut the carrot twice from thick cardstock and layered it and then applied some spiced marmalade and twisted citron on it...I used some orange thread to stitch in the border and then applied some glossy accents on it...I adhered this carrot in the middle of the front panel..

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped and coloured in the bunny image and then cut it out before placing it in front of the carrot...I applied some glossy accents on the rabbit as well...

Finally,I added the stamped sentiment banner as well as some sequins to embellish my card...

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today...Hope you will have a wonderful and blessed day ahead...Happy crafting..!!
