Paper Piecing For The Flower Challenge #17

I have created cards in the past with the paper piecing technique without even knowing that is what I was doing...so when the flower challenge came up with the paper piecing challenge for this month,I was very happy to try this technique again...and this time with a proper name...ha ha..

I started by creating the main elements of my card...I have used a printed dsp and some raspberry sorbet dye ink to stamp the flowers which are from the Friends of Life stamp set by Simon Says Stamp...I used the coordinating dies to cut these out and used a different dsp to die cut the leaves..

Next,I die cut three polaroid frames from white cardstock and sponged in some antique linen oxide ink in the center sections...I placed the flower and leaves on the polaroids as well as a gold die cut heart on each of them and set them aside..

I sponged in some Distress Oxide inks on the a white front panel and splattered some Nuvo gold mousse mixed with water on it...the colours I used for the background are antique linen, seedless preserves and lucky clover..I then used a WRMK embossing folder to emboss this background before adhering it to my card front..I also added a strip of gold glitter cardstock at the bottom of my front panel..

Next,I placed all the polaroid frames on my card front and started on the sentiment for my card...I die cut the word 'hugs' from the same printed dsp as the flowers as well as white craft foam and layered them before adhering to the card front...and finally I added a stamped label with the word 'birthday' on it just above the die cut word..

My card already had so many elements,so I decided not to add any embellishments on it...
