Faux Shaker Card

I love shaker cards and I have tried a lot of different ways to create them...they do take a bit of time, patience and planning so you can get a good result...so when I saw this card and tutorial last year the Houses Built Of Cards blog,I knew I had to try this one out..It's a fun and easy Faux Shaker Card and quite easy to make as well...

I have used a plain white cardstock card base and die cut green printed dsp for the first layer...I then die cut a frame using another green printed cardstock and cut out white cardstock a bit smaller than this frame...

On the white panel,I stamped the sentiment and the succulent image and coloured it in...I then applied some glossy accents and sprinkled lots of yellow and pink star sequins on it....had I used some sort of clear sequins etc,I would've been able to cover a bit of the stamped images as well...once the glossy accents was dry,I placed the frame on top and adhered this panel onto the card...

Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card today...Have a blessed day...!!

Hope Your Day Is Magical

"Always be Yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn. Then always be a Unicorn" I read this quote a while ago and loved it...I know they are mythical creatures but there is something so magical, mysterious and happy about them....don't you think??

For today's card I chose a berry blue coloured cardstock for the card...I die cut the top layer from watercolor paper using Avery Elle double pierced rectangle die....then using a stencil and a few shades of blue distress inks I created the background for this card...

The Unicorn image I have used is from a stamp by The Greeting Farm called Magical Day...I coloured it in with bright colours and cut it out before placing it on the top layer...

I stamped the sentiment top center and heat embossed it using a purple embossing powder...and finally to embellish this card I have used silver star sequins..

Thanks for visiting my blog today...Have a lovely & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

It's Your Day

I wanted to make a cute card using the Seamus stamp set by Jane's Doodles..the sheep images in this stamp set are super cute and so easy to colour in...

I started with a plain white card base and a white top layer...then using the Avery Elle double pierced rectangle die set,I die cut two sections in the middle and embossed the edge of the top layer....and since I didn't want to add bulk but still add a bit of texture in the space that shows behind the die cut area - I embossed a piece of vellum paper and adhered it to the back of the top layer...

I stamped and coloured in the sheep images and carefully cut them out and placed them on the card...and finally I stamped the sentiment and my card was ready...

I'm glad you stopped by to take a look at my card....Hope you will have a beautiful day today...!!

For You Card

So today I'm sharing the second card I made using the other ombre watercolour background that I was talking about in my previous post....in the last one I had used warm colours so for this one I chose cool colours grey, blue and purple...

I followed the technique shown by Kristina Werner  for creating the ombre background..it's a great tutorial and I have been amazed at my results...Kristina is an excellent teacher...

Once dry,I cut the top layer to size and embossed the it using the WRMK embossing folder..I also splattered a bit of white paint for effect....I then adhered this top layer to a plain white card base..

Using the leftover bit of paper from the top layer,I die cut the sentiment and placed it on the middle of the card...then on a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and and cut out the little bunny and flower cart images and placed these on the card as well...

To embellish the card I have used some silver sequins and I have used glossy accents on the images for a bit of shine...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card....Have lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

Make A Wish - Ombre Watercolour Background

I saw this technique to create ombre watercolour background in December last year...most of you who follow Kristina Werner would remember the fabulous set of cards she made on Day 25 of her Holiday Card Series....and it has taken me this long to try it out...she has an excellent tutorial with her post and I was so happy with my results that I made two different ombre backgrounds but chose this  bright one to make a card with first...

I chose a white card base and followed Kristina's tutorial to create the ombre background on watercolor paper...and the watercolors I have used are Peerless watercolors....once the paint was dry,I splattered some metallic gold  paint on it....I love the shine from the gold paint...and finally I ran the top layer through my cuttlebug to emboss it...

I die cut the words 'make a wish' and a few stars using gold foil cardstock and placed them onto the card...

The little fairy has been stamped, coloured in,cut out and covered with a bit of glossy accents before being placed on the card as well...

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today...Happy crafting...!!

Thank You For Your Hospitality

I made today's card using another lovely stamp set by Jane's Doodles called Home Sweet Home..I love the two house images and the apartment block...and there are so many possibilities with these kind of stamps...especially when you use them with other stamps and/or images...

The card base is plain white and I decided not to have a top layer for this card....what I did instead was die cut a bit of green cardstock and placed it at the bottom of the card...I stamped the sentiment on this section using black ink...

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the images and coloured them in using my Spectrum Noir markers and applied a bit of sparkle on them as well...it looks beautiful in person...maybe you can notice a bit of shimmer in these houses...

After cutting out these houses and placing them onto the green die cut section,I thought this card need just a little bit of something...embellishments weren't working somehow so I simply stamped the sun directly onto the card and coloured it in using pencils as my markers would've shown through on inside of the card...

Thanks a lot for stopping by to take a look at my card....Have lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

Sending A Little Sunshine Your Way

I have made today's card specifically for entering in the Scrapbook Boutique February 2017 Challenge...I had so much fun making a card for the December 2016 challenge and was waiting for the challenges to restart in this year..

The moodboard this time has a lot of beach/summer pics with lots of yellows and blues...and I really don't have any stamps, images or dies for that theme so had to go through all my stamps and dies a few times to finally come up with this card....it would be a great card to send to cheer up a friend who is facing the harsh winter chill at the moment(while we have summers in Australia)...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by Pri

The card base is plain white and the top layer has been cut to size from watercolour cardstock...I then used the puffy cloud border dies and placed them on the top layer and embossed with them so they look like waves...I have used Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to create the background on the top layer....

I stamped the sentiment on the top layer and heat embossed it using a copper coloured embossing powder...

On a separate piece of cardstock,I first stamped the seal image using Cool Graphite dye ink by Ranger and then re-stamped it using watermark ink and quickly heat embossed it using clear embossing powder...I also stamped the sun and cut it out as well....I placed the sun on the tip of the seal's nose to look like its balancing a ball...

I'm glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today....you will find all the details of the challenge on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog...Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead...!!

Happy Valentine's Day..!!

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.- Lao Tzu

My card for Valentines is a really cute one using a stamp set by Jane's Doodles called Seamus...I just love the cute sheep images in this set...

I chose a vibrant orange cardstock for my card base and die cut watercolor paper using the cross stitch rectangle die to create the top layer...I then used distress inks to create a vibrant background for this card...the inks shades I have used are - picked raspberry, abandoned coral and mustard seed..

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the two sheep images before cutting then out and placing them onto the card...

The sentiment has been heat embossed using red embossing powder and I have used white Nuvo crystal drops to embellish this card...

I made another quick card...and I have used metallic markers and a ruler to create the background...

The card base is made from gold cardstock and I have used black cardstock for the top layer....on the top layer,I created the pattern using some coloured metallic marker and then stamped hearts all over which I heat embossed with gold embossing powder...I have also splattered a bit of gold paint on it...

I then die cut a large heart from gold foil cardstock and then used the die cut inlay technique by Jennifer McGuire to add the sentiment on the gold heart...before adhering the heart to the card front,I added a bit of gold string under it...

Nuts Over Bolts About You

Today I'm sharing a sweet and simple card that you can give to your loved one at Valentine's(yes...Valentines day is just 2 days away..!!) or at any other time you'd like to remind someone how much you love them...

As you can see...I have kept things fairly simple for this card...the card base and top layer are both made using Kraft cardstock...I then stamped the cute robot image, the sentiment and little hearts using watermark ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder...

I coloured in the robot and hearts using Prismacolor pencils and then brushed the image with my Spectrum Noir sparkle pen...

Thank you so much for visiting today...Have a lovely & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

Flowers - Just For You

I am always amazed at all the unique results I get when I use distress inks with water....and my favourite technique is to use an embossing folder spritzed with water and used as a stamp on a panel sponged with distress inks...

For today's card I chose a pink card base and a distress watercolor paper top layer...I stamped the flowers and stems using black ink and then masked them using Pebeo drawing gum and a thin paint brush...

Once the gum was dry,I sponged in some distress inks to cover the background...the shades I have used are - seedless preserves, wilted violet, blueprint sketch, picked raspberry and spun sugar..I have then spritzed an embossing folder with water and stamped on the top layer...

It took a while to dry and after that I removed the gum and coloured in the flowers using Intense pencils and a waterbrush...

I placed the stamped sentiment on the card and I have used Nuvo crsytal drops to embellish this card...

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my card...Have a blessed day today...!!

Believe In Magic

I used Prismacolor pencils for the very first time...I loved the brightness of the canary yellow in the set..I need to practice more with these but couldn't resist creating one card for now..

The card base is plain white and the base layer is a kind of pear green shade which I have die cut using stitched rectangle die...I have heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder at the top left of this layer and added a cute little fairy(The Greeting Farm) beside it..

The top layer is plain white and I first stamped and coloured in the images and the die cut this layer using a stitched edge die..I added craft foam under this layer before adhering it to the base layer...

Finally I added some clear star sequins to embellish this card..

White Ink On Kraft - Thanks Card

The card I'm sharing today is a simple Thanks card...I keep thinking of ways for using Kraft cardstock with coloured cardstock...and for this one I chose a pink theme...

I started with a light pink card base and a kraft cardstock top layer...using white pigment ink and a large swirly pattern stamp on the kraft top layer - sorry this stamp set was unbranded so I don't know the name or manufacturer - I repeat stamped the image to create the background...

I then die cut a small section for the top of the card using white cardstock and a stitched scalloped edge die..I also embossed this section and used seedless preserves distress ink lightly to  enhance the embossing...I placed the die cut sentiment 'thanks' using pink glitter cardstock and placed it along the edge of this section...

Once the top layer was ready and placed onto the card base,I used Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo crystal drops to embellish this card...

Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today...Have a wonderful day ahead...!!

A Dragon Card & Prince Charming Tag

Today I am so happy to share a card and a tag that I have made using the MFT Magical Dragons stamp set....I had a rough idea about the design of this card but was so excited when it all came together...

The card base and top layer are both plain white....I masked the top layer at an angle using a scrap piece of paper and repeat stamped the sentiment to create an interesting background...

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and cut out the cute dinosaur image and  three candles...I placed them on the top layer in a way that it seems that the dinosaur is blowing the candles...

I have stamped the sentiment using watermark ink on a strip of black cardstock and then heat embossed it using gold embossing powder...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreatedI kept the tag quite simple...the tag base has been die cut using the MFT tag builder 5 blueprints and I have used distress inks to create the background...I then die cut the tag border and adhered it to the base tag...

On a separate piese of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little prince image and placed it on the tag...I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of coloured cardstock using white embossing powder and placed it on the tag...

Finally I added a piece of blue ribbon and some tiny star sequins and my tag was ready...

Crazy About You

Well the second month of this year is already here...and it's going to pass very quickly too...hope you are ready with a few Valentines Day cards by now...if not, then there is still time...

Today I'm sharing another card where I haven't gone overboard with colours and embellishments...it's simple but still quite cute...

The card base is plain white and so is the top layer...I have embossed the  top layer using a Heidi Swapp embossing folder(sorry, don't know what it's called - pls let me know if you do)...

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the little birdies as well as the word crazy...I coloured in and cut out the birds and die cut the word crazy before placing them on the card...I also used glossy accents on them...

Lastly,I stamped  a tiny red heart and the remaining sentiment using red ink directly onto the top layer and my card was ready...

Thank you for your visit today...I'm glad you stopped by my blog...Have a wonderful day ahead...!!
