It's the first day of December and I will be sharing a whole lot of Christmas cards in my posts until Christmas Day...for today's post I am sharing a spinner card...this is my first every try so I wanted to keep it fairly simple even though I had been inspired by the Z Fold Spinner Card by Jennifer Mcguire..I also have a small video at the very end of my post to show you how this spinner works when the card is opened...
I started by cutting the front panel to size and then using the Altenew grid stencil and Distress Oxide inks to create the background...I have used candied apple,abandoned coral and worn lipstick shades here...I then splattered,sprayed almost,a lote of water and quickly dabbed it with a paper towel...I also stamped the sentiment and embossed this panel with a stitched rectangle die...
I die cut a section in the middle of the front panel and die cut the same section in the card base...and because I wanted this die cut section to be the main focus,I die cut a gold frame from the nesting dies and inlaid it after I had the spinner part of the card ready...
For the spinner element,I stamped and die cut the cute bear from Lawn Fawn For You Deer stamp set...I also stamped and die cut an extra of the back stamp making sure not to ink the tail...this was to create the front legs of the bear...I coloured in the images and added a gold string which passed between the front and back of the bear die cut...these strings are securely adhered between the front panel and the card base...
Since the inside of the card is visible from the card front,I stamped lots of stars inside and coloured them in...
To decorate the card front I have simple adhered a few gold star sequins...
