Otterly Merry Christmas Spinner & Snow Globe Card

One of the cards I'm sharing today is a spinner/slider card with a cute otter on it...I did not make many interactive cards for Christmas this year as they take a bit longer to plan and assemble and I had a lot of cards to make...and my second card is 'almost' a shaker card....I created the red snow globe with the cute birdies and felt it looked great without making it a shaker...

For the spinner card,I first created the front panel using Distress Inks and a cloud stencil on a die cut white cardstock to create the background..I have used tumbled glass and shaded lilac shades here...

I then die cut another smaller panel using the stitched hillside border for the ocean...I blended some Distress Oxide inks this time...I have used blueprint sketch and salty ocean..I did this mainly to make the sky and the ocean distinct but I wasn't able to show it well in the pictures I clicked..

After creating a die cut channel for the slider,I used one of the stitched trails die to create some patterns on this panel and stamped the sentiment using black ink..

I stamped, coloured in and die cut the otter and a little bird and then used double layer of  foam tape to adhered the wave section to the card front...I added the spinner disc behind the otter and adhered it to a die cut circle which makes it spin and slide in the channel...I then adhered the little bird on the panel with the clouds on it...

By the time I realised that these pictures and video were clicked when I hadn't embellished this card,I had already posted it...but I assure you,I have added some red Nuvo drops to embellish it...Here is a small video of my spinner card...just in case you are unable to view it in this browser you can view it on my Instagram or Facebook account..

My second card has a very sparkly background that I have die cut from white glitter cardstock and adhered to a plain white card base...I then used a bright red plain cardstock to die cut two scalloped banners as well and the stamped snow globe...

I have used some Distress Inks to create the background of the snow globe and then added the coloured in and die cut birds and the branch to it...I simply adhered this snow globe to my card front and my card was ready...and since this card was already quite bright and glittery,I did not add any embellishments on it..
