Harry,Hagrid & Dumbledore - Two Cards

These stamp sets from Sweet Stamp Shop are a treat for Harry Potter fans who are into card-making,scrapbooking or journaling etc....I am having so much fun creating these cards and while these ones are fairly simple,I really want to create an interactive card with these images someday...

For my first card,I die cut the top layer using a large stitched rectangle die and then sponged in some Distress Inks to create the background...I have used spiced marmalade,tumbled glass and wilted violet shades on inks...I then splattered some water on this panel and quickly dabbed it with a paper towel..

After deciding where I wanted to place the images,I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on the top right of this panel and adhered it to a textured cream cardstock card base...

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped,coloured in and cut out the images of Harry and his broom as well as Hagrid and the owl and adhered them to the card front using some adhesive foam squares...

To embellish my card I have adhered a lot of tiny gold star sequins...

I thought to create a magical kind of background for my second card so I stamped Taylored Expressions background stamp called Twinkle Twinkle  on the front panel using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder...i then moved the stamps a bit and stamped and embossed it again..

I then used various Distress Inks to cover this panel...I have used seedless preserves,wilted violet,blueprint sketch and salty ocean shades for this one...I did sprinkle some water on this panel  for effect but that wasn't doing much for it so I simply adhered it to a light blue card base...

I stamped and coloured in the images of Dumbledore  and Fawkes the phoenix and adhered them to the card...I also added a broom in Dumbledore's hand...

I die cut a label from white glitter cardstock and then a smaller one from purple shimmer cardstock and stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it using white embossing powder...I then layered these labels with some craft foam and adhered them to my card...
