Two Cards For Scrapbook Boutique September 2017 Challenge

So yet again I got pretty excited about this month's challenge at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog and made two cards...For my first card I was inspired by the clouds and the white heart in the moodboard and used a cloud stencil and a heart shaped leaf stamp to create it...and my second card is an interactive shaker card with a very cute cat image from Paper Smooches..

To create my first card,I started with a white front panel and stamped and heat embossed the leaf images at the bottom of the panel...I then coloured in the leaves using blueprint sketch Distress Ink and once dry I created a mask to cover these images so I could create the background next...

I used MFT mini clouds stencil and Distress Inks to create the cloudy background...I used salty ocean and blueprint sketch shades here...

On a piece of blue foil cardstock,I stamped the sentiment using white pigment ink....once dry,I used the coordinating die and a banner die to die cut the sentiment and placed it onto the card front using some sticky craft foam underneath for dimension...

I adhered this front panel to a white card base and then added a few clear confetti to embellish it...I also used my Spectrum Noir glitter pen to add some shine to the leaves...

The second card I created is a bit of fun as I die cut a flap in the front to hide the shaker underneath...I was inspired by the cat image in the moodboard to create this card...I started by die cutting watercolour cardstock for the card front using a large stitched rectangle die...I also die cut a flap in the front...

I stamped and coloured in the cute cat image on the flap and masked it before I started to colour in the rest of the background using Distress Inks...I have used chipped sapphire, blueprint sketch and broken china shades here...I heat embossed the sentiment and also sprinkled water all over this panel for effect...

For the shaker element of my card,I first stamped the same cat upside down on the card base so it seems to be peeking and then masked it before applying some Distress Inks in the area that area...I used tumbled glass and salty ocean here..

I stamped a second sentiment here and then set about creating the shaker well using some foam tape and clear acetate...I filled up the shaker with some red heart sequins and then adhered the front panel to the card base..

I have used white Nuvo Drops to embellish my card...
