I love creating colourful cards but to create something with a given a set of colours is still quite a challenge for me...and that's the reason I try and participate in the colour challenges at the
MFT Card Challenges Blog...these cards are for
colour challenge #76..
For my first card,I chose a grey cardstock for the cardbase and die cut the top panel from white cardstock...I then sponged in weathered wood and picked raspberry Distress ink on the top panel..I sprinkled some water on this panel and dabbed quickly then let it dry...
I then stamped the sentiment as well as some stars using black ink and adhered this panel to the card base..
I stamped the bear on a separate piece of cardstock and coloured it in before cutting it out and adhering it to the front panel using some adhesive foam...to embellish this card I have used a few clear confetti sequins...
As you can see in this close-up photo,I used the challenge colours in the bear's hat and clothes and the background as well..
I pulled out Distress Oxide inks and a stencil for my second card and created the background on a white front panel...I have used I have used cracked pistachio and picked raspberry shades here...I then spritzed some water on this panel and blotted it with a paper towel before adhering it to the white card base..
I stamped the little girl with a sign on a separate piece of cardstock,coloured it in and cut it out and placed it on the card using adhesive foam squares...I did use a white gel pen to create a pattern on the little girls dress...
Using a couple of blue shades of my Spectrum Noir markers,I coloured in the die cut alphabets for the word 'hi' and layered them with white craft foam before adhering it to the card front...I also applied a bit of glossy accents on this word as well as the sign board for a bit of shine...
I have used some sparkling clear sequins to embellish my card...and in this card I have used all the challenge colours to colour in the little girl image...
