Father's Day Funny Card

It's Father's Day in Australia tomorrow...hope you've got a card and socks all wrapped up for your dad by now..ha ha...my dad meditates and also has a great sense of humour, so this year I thought to make a kind of funny card for him...and I'm sure my daughters must have got their cards ready for my hubby as well...I don't know if they made funny cards too..I don't get to see them in advance anymore..!!

I started by creating the background on a white front panel...I used a stencil and Distress Inks for it...the ink shades I used are squeezed lemonade,wild hone and spiced marmalade...I then added an orange foil cardstock frame and adhered this panel to a bright yellow card base ..

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the meditating monkey image from Katzelkraft Jungle Animals stamp set and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it onto the card front using some adhesive foam...

I die cut the word 'Happy' from green glitter cardstock and layered it with a die cut from white craft foam before adhering it to the card...I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used foam squares to adhere it to the card as well...

To embellish my card I have simple added a few orange marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops...
