I was so happy when Clearly Besotted stamps re-opened a few months ago...I love their stamps and I hadn't tried any of their flower stamps yet...so I got this one with the poppies and a few sentiments..
I started with a top folding white card base and a white top layer as well...I then sponged in a few shades of green Distress Inks to cover this top layer...I have used forest moss,mowed lawn and twisted citron here...and before adhering this top layer to the card base,I embossed it using WRMK next level embossing folder...
On a separate piece of white cardstock - as wide as the card base - I stamped the poppy flowers image but that didn't cover the width of the card so I masked the center image and stamped more flowers...
Now colouring these images was made slightly easy by the fact that one of the Derwent Inktense pencil shade is called Poppy Red...it is actually quite bright but I used just a bit of it to colour in the flowers and buds...
I carefully cut out the top part of this panel and adhered it to the card front using some craft foam in between...I stamped the sentiment label and adhered it as well..
To embellish my card I have used Nuvo drops as well as a gold string at the top...here is a close up shot of the poppies...
