I love succulents....well,whats not to love...they look beautiful..they come in a lot of variety...you can make multiple plants from one, so new plants are free...they don't need much work if you have the basics right...they tolerate the weather beautifully...and the list goes on...and today I'm sharing two cards that I have made using the Honey Bee stamp set called Stick With Me...
My first card has a plain white card base a white top layer as well...I first stamped the planters and cactus,using masks wherever required...and then used weathered wood Distress Ink to sponge in the background as well as the large wall stencil...
I then removed the masks and coloured in the plants using Spectrum Noir markers as well as three other individual flowers which I cut out after colouring in and later placed them near the sentiment...
I used a piece of bright green shimmer cardstock to die cut the sentiment as well as the rectangular frame...using yellow craft foam,I die cut the sentiment again and added it behind the die cut sentiment before adhering it to the card..
To embellish my card I have used Nuvo drops...
So that was my first try....I planned my second card a bit better...I started with a plain white card base and cut up a white top layer,same size as my card front....I used a small brick stencil and Distress Inks to create the background...I have used fired brick,aged mahogany and tea dye shades here...
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped and heat embossed all the plants and pots,couloured them all in and cut them out...I placed some of the plants directly onto the top layer and for some I have used foam squares for a bit of dimension...
I couldn't find the right shade of green for the sentiment label so I used two green shades of my alcohol markers to colour in a bit of paper....I then stamped the sentiment,heat embossed it and cut out the label and adhered it to the card...
