Animal Pun Cards

Image
The stamp set I have used today has really cute animal images and pun-ny sentiments but they are quite tiny...I have made a few cards with them before but thought to try making smaller cards which are in proportion with the images...

Two Cards Using Paper Smooches Cuties - And A Card From A Friend

Image
Today I decided to make a clean card with a simple message and a sweet image....and not too many colours or textures...and then I wanted to make another simple card using the swipe stamping technique shown by Jennifer McGuire....also,a new friend has surprised me with a card and I was so happy to receive something so beautiful...I'm sharing a pic of her card too.. :)

Pop Up Box Card - Wish BIG

Image
I have made pop-up box cards before...and ruined more than I made because I mucked up the base design and it wouldn't fold flat like it should...and that was mostly due to wrong measurements while scoring or cutting...so I usually gave up...and then Lawn Fawn created a die for this box card....so all I had to do was die cut and assemble the base and start on the other elements...how good is that..??

Card For An Adorable Baby

Image
I see a lot of attractive night sky and space kind of backgrounds that card makers have been sharing on their blogs and Instagram etc...and I really wanted to give it a try...once the background was ready I was unsure whether it needed to be a bit darker or not...and because I was going to make a baby card,I didn't want it any darker than this...

Scrapbook Boutique MAY Challenge - Two Cards

Image
While I struggled with the last challenge which had pastel colours in the moodboard, for this month's challenge at Scrapbook Boutique Blog I had a couple of ideas as soon as I looked at the board....I made two cards and decided to share them both..

For my first card I chose a plain white card base and watercolour paper top layer...I first coloured in the whole background with light pink water colour and gave it a bit of ombre effect(which you can't really see in the picture)..once dry,I repeat stamped the snowing stamp using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder...I also smudged some ink on all sides of the top layer and heat embossed that with gold embossing powder as well...

On a separate piece of watercolour paper,I stamped the freesias using pink dye ink and then again with Versamark ink and heat embossed them using clear embossing powder...my Misti came in super handy for this...I coloured in the flowers using Peerless watercolours and cut them out…

Split Colouring - 1 design 2 cards

Image
How fun it was to create two cards with the same design and yet different from each other...I have followed a tutorial for split coloring by Jennifer McGuire to create the cards that I'm sharing with you today...although I do wish I had used two different colours instead of the all white card front...ah well,I'll do that next time...

A Fairy Spinner Card

Image
Interactive cards are so much fun...to make and to give...I don't know why I wasn't making them more often...today I'm sharing my very first slider card...

Magical Adventure

Image
Every time I make a card like the one I'm sharing today,I am reminded of my childhood when we used a lot of imagination rather than technology and had a grand time playing with our friends...making up stories and playacting them...we could be anything we wanted as long as we could imagine it...I do hope little kids still love  reading or listening to fairy tales and such just like we did...

A Card For Mummy & A Card For Daddy

Image
After viewing a lot of Mother's and Father's Day cards on various blogs,Instagram,Facebook etc recently,I got quite inspired to create a few myself...I have also been able to try out my lowercase dies for these cards which I really wanted to try after viewing so many awesome alphabet die cards by Therese Calvrid...

Encouragement Card

Image
I have a few stamp sets by MFT which have some really lovely quotes and I keep thinking of ideas to use them in cards...It didn't take me long to make this card and I was very happy with the result and how easily everything came together...

Birthday Cards Using Acetate

Image
It's been a very long time since I've been planning to try out acetate cards...went through quite a few tutorials by card makers who shared great tips and techniques and felt I should give it a try...so I made two cards...the first one has an acetate panel in the front and the second one has a clear acetate front..
