Happy Halloween!!

Wishing you a fun filled Halloween with lots of magical surprises...!!
May you get lots of treats that are yummy to eat...!!

Today I'm sharing my very first Halloween card...it's quite simple since I did not have many supplies  for one but I guess I had to start somewhere...

The card base is plain black and instead of a single top layer I have used two orange mats....on the bottom section I have used a grey cardstock and stamped the tree and adhered googly eyes on them and created a couple of spiders with those as well...

On the top mat I have used a different shade of orange and stamped the sentiment on it...I have adhered two more of the googly eyes here...

Finally I stamped a few monsters from the Lawn Fawn monster mash stamp set onto a piece of vellum and cut them out before adding them to my card...

Thanks for stopping by today.....HAPPY HALLOWEEN.....!!

HAPPY DIWALI

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Diwali and a prosperous year ahead...!!

Diwali is one of the most important Hindu festival - also known as the festival of lights...since Diwali is always on a no moon day, after the evening prayers everyone lights up their homes with lots of oil lamps, candles and other light displays...every family has their own set of rituals and celebrations to make this festival special...

My Diwali card is a shaker card....the card base is plain white and so is the top layer....I have die cut the top layer using the largest stitched rectangle die....then stamped the paisley stamp repeatedly using Ranger cheese puff dye ink....

I cut out a rectangular section from the top layer and adhered a gold scalloped frame around the cut out area...I then added a piece of acetate from the back...then using craft foam,I created the shaker section, added sequins and closed it with a piece of  cardstock...this was adhered to the card base and then the top layer...

I created the traditional oil lamp using glitter and foil cardstock and added it on top of the shaker window...the sentiment has simply been printed out,cut to size and placed on the card as well...I have also added a few tiny red rhinestones on the card..

Thank you for visiting my blog today....Hope your day is happy and blessed..!!

Get Well Soon

A cute get well card may be just the thing to cheer up someone who's been unwell for a bit...I just loved the super cute Dr Panda and Nurse Kitty in the stamps from the Hooray for Heroes stamp set by Clearly Besotted....

I started with a bright lime green card base and then die cut the top layer from watercolour cardstock using the stitched rectangle die...I then used a bit of green watercolour from a tube and a flat brush and just swiped it on the top layer a few times without re-applying the paint on the brush....

I coloured in and cut out the cat and panda image and then die cut a smaller rectangle using the stitched die and sponged some green distress ink on it before placing the cut out images on it...I also stamped the sentiment on this panel before adhering it to the top layer...

To embellish the card I have used a few green sequins...

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today...Have a happy and crafty day...!!

B & W Birthday Card

I thought I couldn't make a cute card using just black ink and no colours at all....and then I proved myself wrong...hah...!!

I started with a black card base and a white top layer the same size as the card base...I first stamped a border and the sentiment so that I don't end up with no space to stamp the sentiment on....then I pulled out a few of my Paper Smooches stamp sets and started stamping the images directly onto the top layer using black ink...

After adhering the top layer to the card base,I added a strip of black glitter cardstock at the top and my card was ready...

Thank you so much for stopping by today to take a look at my card....Have lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

You're Purrfect - Two Cards

Going through my stamps,I realised that on two of the stamp sets by different brands I had the same sentiment and a cute cat image...so I decided to make two cards using these...

For the first card I have used the You're Purrfect stamp set by Clearly Besotted....I started with a white card base and a plain white top layer...on the top layer I first applied three different distress inks very lightly and then using the same colours and a stencil,I applied the distress inks again....a bit darker this time...

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the kitten and cushion and placed it on the center of the card...Finally I stamped the sentiment and adhered a tiny red heart and a few sequins on the card...

For my second card I chose a bright pink card base and a white top layer...I stamped the cute cat image from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums stamp set and masked it with a slightly bigger mask than the stamped image...then I lightly sponged around the image using Picked Raspberry distress ink...

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and added some pink sequins and tiny rhinestones to embellish the card....

You Are My Sunshine

I have recently started following Therese on her blog called Lost in Paper....She also puts up great tutorial videos on some posts...and all her cards are absolutely fabulous....

For today's card I have followed her technique for the Distress Ink Penny Black Butterfly Panel...and in order to make my card a bit different from hers,I made two panels and used them on the sides rather than make one for the center...

So I started with a piece of white cardstock same size as my card front and used distress inks to colour in all of it..then using my Mini Misti and black Versafine ink I stamped the flowers first on the top layer and then directly onto the card front....I then stamped the sentiment...

Then next step was to cut the top layer into 3 parts...I kept the middle one aside...on the other two,I adhered some craft foam before attaching it to the card front...and after adding a few sequins,my card was ready...

I really enjoyed making this card...It's very simple and quick to make and lookp good too...

Thanks for visiting my blog today...Have a great day ahead....!!

Bright Birthday Shaker Card

I finally found a big pack of craft foam sheets at a craft store and the first thing I created using a foam sheet was a shaker card....I have made many shaker cards before using shaker pockets or layers of cardstock frames...using foam makes it a bit bulky but I feel that the shaker effect is the best as the sequins get a bit of a room to move around...and shake..!!.  :)  :)

Starting with a black cardstock base,I used a stitched rectangle die to create the top layer using watercolor cardstock...then after using a few shades of yellow and orange distress inks on the top layer,I spritzed the weave embossing folder with water and used it to stamp on the top layer...

I die cut a frame for the shaker element using a mini scallop rectangle die and yellow cardstock and a smaller rectangle frame using black foam....I placed the acrylic sheet between the foam and the frame and then put in a mix of sequins and stars....then I cut a black cardstock panel for the shaker backing...I attach a fairy to the black cardstock panel before closing the shaker with it...

Once the shaker was adhered to the top layer,I attached an orange banner with the sentiment heat embossed with white heat embossing powder...I also coloured in and cut out an image of a cute little boy and adhered it to the shaker....

I'm so glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today....Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead...!!

Sending Happy Thoughts

I have surprised myself today with how neatly I was able to fussy cut the stamped flowers layer for this card....well,neater than usual...so I'm pretty happy about it... :)

The card base is plain white and the top layer is plain pistachio green....I have stamped the sentiment using pink ink at the center of the top layer....

On a separate piece of white cardstock same width as the top layer,I stamped the peony flowers using black ink...I did use a mask for some of the flowers in order to stamp the images closely and/or overlap the images...using Peerless watercolors,I  coloured in the flowers and once they were dry I fussy cut around one side to cut off the excess and adhered the cut out on the top layer...

To embellish the card I have used a few pink sequins...

Thank you for stopping by today to take a look at my card....Have lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

Thank You Card - Feathers Die Cuts Inlay Background

For today's card,I wanted to add a lot of die cuts to create the background but at the same time I didn't want the top layer to be bulky as I was planning to add a tag on the front....so I decided to inlay the die cuts and place them within the top layer...

I started with a brick red card base and die cut a tag using the same cardstock....I then cut a white top layer to size and randomly die cut various feather shapes and pulled out the die cut shapes leaving just the negative section...I used the same dies to die cut the feathers using a printed cardstock...then using a double sided adhesive sheet behind the top layer,I carefully inlaid the printed feathers in the empty spots of the negative top layer....I also adhere two thin strips of gold cardstock on the top layer before adhering it to the card base....

To get the tag ready,I die cut the word 'thank you' using gold foil card cardstock and placed it on the tag..I threaded a small piece of ribbon and placed a few gold sequins on the tag before adhering it to the card using a bit of  adhesive foam...

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today...Hope you will have a great day ahead....!!

Wish You The Most Beautiful Day

My colouring might be getting a bit better due to so much practice but I am not at all good at drawing or painting....but that doesn't stop me from using various colouring mediums in my cards other than inks and/or markers...I have used very basic and cheap watercolours that came in a set of small tubes for creating the background of the cards I'm sharing today....there was absolutely no need for skill or practice and the result was pretty good....

I also got to practice stamping with the Altenew Beautiful Day flower and leaves layering stamps...I think the more I will practice, the better results I will get from these...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For both cards I have used a black card base and cut watercolour cardstock to size for the top layer...I then used the watercolour tubes and a flat paintbrush to paint lines on the top layer without picking anymore colour on the brush so that every line is a bit lighter than the one below it...

Then on a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the layering flowers and leaves and cut them out and placed them on the top layer....

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder....

To embellish the cards I have used Nuvo crystal drops...my friend Lois Wyche had tried out the Nuvo drops and the results were great...hopefully I can do a better job with these next time...

Happy Birthday Bunny

I recently discovered a stamp brand that I totally loved called Clearly Besotted....I bought a couple of stamp sets directly from them but before I could even post my first card using their stamps, they have announced closing down temporarily(from 1st Oct 2016)...I'm really looking forward to getting more stamps from them when they re-open in January 2017...

For today's card I have used a blue card base and a white card base....using the same cardstock as the card base,I used a nesting die set called Lorraine's Flower to die cut two different size pieces....

I then die cut two stitched circles from white cardstock and stamped the images on them...once the images were coloured in and the sentiment was stamped,I placed the white circles on the blue die cut pieces and placed them on the top layer...finally,I used a large rectangle stitch die to create the border as well as cut off the excess...

I have used blue sequins in various sizes to embellish the card...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card....Have lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

Lawn Fawn Critters - Wild Zebras

I have used my MISTI stamping tool again for this card to create a mirror image of the cute zebra....I am amazed how fast and easy it is to create mirror images with the MISTI...

I chose a bright green cardstock for my card base and a watercolour cardstock for the top layer...I have used a few distress inks to create the background of the card and stamped the sentiment using black ink...

Using black cardstock I created a frame for the top layer with a large cross stitch rectangle die and a mini scallop rectangle die...

Then I coloured in two stamped images of the zebras, cut them out and placed them on the card facing each other...I also punched out a small red heart and placed it below the stamped sentiment...

Thank you for visiting today...Hope you will have a lovely & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

Lawn Fawn Critters - Friends

As soon as I showed the completed card to my hubby and kids, there was quite a bit of a discussion  on whether a lion and a leopard would be friends or not...well,the card was ready but we kept discussing the lion-leopard friendship....I thought they would be great friends....what do you think...would they be friends because they have so many similar traits or would they be rivals due to the same...??

I chose a bright orange card base for my card and a die cut watercolor cardstock for the top layer...I then used distress ink and water on a small bit of acetate sheet and smooshed the ink onto the watercolor paper...

Once the top layer was dry,I die cut three different colours of cardstock using the hillside border dies and adhered them on it...I stamped the sentiment on one side and the sun on the other...

I stamped the lion and the leopard on a separate piece of cardstock and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers and then cut them out...I then covered both these images with glossy accents and set them aside to dry before placing then on the card...

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog today...Have a great day ahead....!!

Lawn Fawn Critters - Thanks A Bunch

I spent a fair bit of time to plan out today's card and am very happy with the result...hope you like it too... :)

The card base is plain white and the top layer is white as well..firstly,I used a few distress inks to colour in the top layer and then used a bamboo embossing folder and placed the top layer back to front in order to get a debossed front...I had also brushed the bamboo part of the embossing folder with some water which sort of lightened the ink in that section..I then used one of the stitched border die on all four sides to create a nice embossed border..

I stamped the vine for the monkey and the sentiment directly onto the top layer using black ink...the elephant, monkey, little bird and the foliage has been stamped on a separate piece of cardstock...coloured in,cut out and then placed on the card...

Finally I have used a few blue sequins to embellish the card...

I'm glad you stopped by to take a look at my card....Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead...!!

Lawn Fawn Critters - Adorable Elephants

Today's card is bright and colourful....my favorite kind of card....I liked the elephant image from Lawn Fawn stamps so much that I decided to use my mini MISTI to create a mirror image for this card...coz what's better than one cute elephant..??Two cute elephants...!!  :)

The card base is plain pink and I have used watercolor cardstock for the top layer....I used pink and orange shades of distress inks to cover the top layer and then used an embossing folder and water spritzer (instead of stamp and ink) to create the background....once it was dry,I stamped the sentiment using black ink....

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the two elephant images then cut them out and placed them on the card...I also die cut a heart using red glitter cardstock and placed it behind the elephants' heads....finally I adhered a few silver sequins in various sizes to embellish the card...

Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card today...Happy crafting...!!

Lawn Fawn Critters - Hi There

As soon as I bought a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets,I knew I was going make quite a few cards with them....they are all very cute but I like the fact that the images aren't too small or intricate....makes it easy to colour in and cut out...

For today's card,I chose a plain white card base and die cut the the top layer using the cross stitched rectangle die....I then used a few shades of yellow distress inks to cover the top layer and then used a brown ink and wood grain stencil to print the pattern....

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped coloured in and cut out the animal images and placed them on the card...I stamped the sentiment using black ink and placed a few sequins to embellish the card...

Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today...Have a wonderful day ahead...!!

Flowers Pop-Up Card

Pop up cards have been around for a long time and from what I can see on the internet, card makers have been creating awesome ones...some cards are pretty intricate and quite detailed and I really can't even begin to understand how those cards were made....

Today I'm sharing my first pop up card....although I must say that using a die to create the tabs made it quite easy for me...the die comes in a set called Make It Pop by Stampendous...so all I had to do was to use the pop up die for the inside printed insert of the card and folded the tabs the correct way for them to work and then attached the elements to those tabs....I have used some cut out peony flowers and leaves on the bottom tab and a 'Happy Birthday' banner on the top one...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

I kept the outside/front of the card quite simple....the top layer is plain grey and I have used the smaller images from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set and repeat stamped them around the edges...I coloured in the flowers and some leaves using Spectrum Noir markers....I stamped the sentiment in the middle and used Nuvo crystal drops to embellish the card...

The Golden Swans

Today's card has been one of those cards where I have constantly changed my mind about everything on it....but thankfully in the end it worked out....

The card base is made from a printed blue cardstock and the top layer is same size as the front of the card but I have used a cloud border die at the top...this was the only way I could think of to create the clouds and not have too many layers on this card...

I then stamped the swans on the top layer using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using gold embossing powder....I have sponged in some distress inks to create the water and grass around the swans...

The sentiment has been stamped using red dye ink and I have used a few sequins in various sizes to embellish the card...

Thanks for stopping by today....Have lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

Die Cut Inlay Background Card

I think this die cut inlay background technique has got to be the easiest one yet....I have followed the tutorial by Jennifer McGuire to create the background for this card....Also,my younger daughter coloured in the flowers image using watercolour pencils and then some water and a fine paint brush and it turned out really nice so I asked her if I could use it on my card...so she cut it out and gave it to me....

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

The card base is plain black and the top layer is made from glitter cardstock on which I have used a flourish die to create the inlay die cut effect...it is impossible to see in the picture but I have used craft foam under the top layer....

I then stamped, coloured in and cut out the little glass vase image and placed it on the card as well as the flowers...I stamped the sentiment on a small black banner using versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder...I have used copper colour sequins to embellish the card...

Here's a close up of my card...I think my daughter did a great job with the colouring...
