You Are In My Prayers

Australia being an island nation surrounded by treacherous waters, has a lot of lighthouses built to prevent shipwrecks....according to the Australian Lighthouses website, in the last 200 years it is estimated that around 350 lighthouses were built in Australia....I find them very fascinating and think about how important they were in the olden days up until there was a huge advancement in technology and navigational equipment...

The card I'm sharing today has a plain pink card base and the top layer has been created using watercolour cardstock and distress inks...I die cut the lighthouse from red as well as white cardstock and replaced some red sections of the lighthouse with the white ones...I also used the negative sections of the cloud border die cuts to use as waves and placed them on the card and placed the lighthouse die cut on one end....

The sentiment has been stamped directly onto the top layer and I used three strips of gold foil cardstock to create the effect of light being emitted from the lighthouse...finally I used the stitched rectangular die on the top layer to have an even stitched look on all edges...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card today...Happy crafting...!

Birthday Hello Card

My last card was a bright one and I wanted to make another bright one with lots of colours in it....there is not much technique in this card but I had a whole lot of fun creating a colourful background for today's card...

The card base is plain white and the top layer has been die cut using the cross stitched rectangle die and watercolour cardstock...then I used a paint brush and simply dabbed on various colours from my Peerless watercolours set....

Using an orange foil cardstock, I die cut the word 'hello' and a speech bubble....I stamped the sentiment on the speech bubble before placing it on the top layer...and finally I have added a few orange sequins as embellishments...

I'm glad you stopped by to take a look at my card....Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead...!!

Party Time

Whats a party without party hats..??So I made little party hats for the owl and chick and decided to create a bright and sparkly background for today's card...

The card base is light pink and I die cut watercolor paper to size and created the background using various distress inks...I then punched a few 1" circles from gold glitter cardstock and stuck them onto the top layer....lastly, using the largest rectangular stitched die,I created the border and well as cut off the excess from the gold circles..

After stamping the sentiment directly onto the top layer,I placed the coloured in and cut out images of the owl and the chick...

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog today...Have a happy and crafty day...!!

Mirror Stamping

Over the years I have tried out mirror stamping technique so many times but it never worked for me before....maybe I wasn't using the right ink or not doing something the right way...and it was frustrating because sometimes you just want something stamped facing the other way for the card to make sense....and this is one more quality of the MISTI stamping tool that it lets you do the mirror stamping so easily...

I have followed this tutorial by Jennifer McGuire for mirror stamping the giraffe image on my card -  Mirror stamping tutorial

The card base for my card is plain brown and the top layer has been die cut using a stitched rectangle die...I then used distress inks in various shades of green to create the background on the top layer.....

On a smaller die cut Vellum panel,I stamped a large heart image and the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using red embossing powder...

I glued four white rhinestones on the vellum panel...that hid the glue dots that I have used to secure the panel on the top layer...lastly,I placed the two giraffe images and a little gold heart on the red heat embossed heart and the card was ready...

Thanks for stopping by my blog...Have a blessed day today...!!

Fun Background Using markers

So what's the best thing to do when you just can't find a patterned paper for your card in the colours that you really want...??There may be a lot of answers for this question but the quickest and easiest way is to create a background using markers and a ruler....

For my card today,I chose a purple card base...the top layer is plain white and has been die cut using  the largest stitched rectangle die...I then used my Spectrum Noir markers to create this plaid kind of pattern in the colours of my choice...

I die cut the sentiment and placed it on a white die cut panel and adhered that to the top layer...on the same panel I also adhered a little fairy and a cupcake....and finally to embellish the card I have used colourful rhinestones...

Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today...Have a wonderful day ahead...!!

Birthday Wishes Cards

So I sat down with a rough sketch for a card but couldn't decide on what colours to use for the card base and top layer....I tried out two different combinations and here they are...

For the first card I have used a black card base and a lavender top layer and for the second card I used a purple card base and a white top layer...I then stamped the background flower image on lavender paper with black ink and on white paper with purple ink....I also attached a strip each of black and purple glitter cardstock on both the top layers...

The mini MISTI stamping tool made it so easy and quick to use the layering flower and leaves stamps from Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set...and once the stamping was done,I quickly cut them out and placed them on the card...The sentiment has been stamped on thin strips of cardstock and I have used a few orange and black sequins to embellish the card...

Thanks for visiting my blog today...Have a lovely & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

Bright Peonies Thank You Card

I know I'm not very good with paints, but that doesn't stop me...and I keep going coz I think that's the only way I can get a bit better...so today I'm sharing a card that I have made using Peerless watercolors....

The card base is plain pink and the top layer has been cut to size using Ranger watercolor paper....on the top layer,I stamped a few peonies using the Altenew peony scroll stamp set using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using a gold embossing powder...I then coloured in the flowers and the background using Peerless watercolors...

Once dry,I placed a thank you word die on the top layer and ran it through my Cuttlebug and carefully removed the die cut word....I used a piece of gold foil cardstock to die cut the same word and then inlaid the gold one on the top layer...

I just punched a couple of hearts from the same gold foil cardstock and used them to embellish the card...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card...Have a very blessed day today...!!

Little Girl In The Meadows Birthday Card

I am so happy to share this card today....I usually find small dies cuts a bit too challenging so I try n stay away....but the little trees dies from MFT are just too cute and I had to create something lovely from it...

The card base is plain white and the top layer is textured light pink and has been die cut using the stitched border die....I used a smaller watercolour panel to create the hillside scene using distress inks, hillside border dies and trees dies....I also placed a little girl who seems to be sitting on the ground...

Finally I die cut a scalloped border using two consecutive dies and white cardstock and added it to the completed panel... once the panel was adhered to the top layer,I stamped the sentiment on a small banner and attached it to the card front...

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today...Hope you will have a great day ahead....!!

Two cards Using Kraft Cardstock

One of the lovely and talented bloggers I religiously follow is Vicki and I love all her creations....a little while back she had created a cute piggy card with a stamped kraft card top layer and to enhance the stamped images, she drew a border around them using a white gel pen....making the stamped images stand out a bit....and I really loved the technique and had planned to try it out myself...

Here is the link to Vicki's lovely creation that inspired me to create this card - Squeal,Oink,Hello!

On a white card base I used a kraft top layer on which I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Flower Heads stamp set and coloured them in...I then used a gel pen to create a border around the images...I didn't do too well this time but I think I'll do a better job when I use this technique again..

I die cut a few leaves and a little birdie image and placed them below the gold banner with the sentiment on it...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

So while I had the kraft cardstock out,I decided to create a quick card....this time I used it to create the card base....the top layer is die cut from vellum using a stitched rectangle die...I then stamped the little dandelion images on the vellum using white pigment ink to create a background...

The sentiment is half stamped and half die cut and I have used white rhinestones on all four corners to embellish the card as well as conceal the glue dots I used to adhere the vellum to the card base....

Let's Go Chill Out!!

Little critter stamps are my absolute favorites these days....and there are way too many cute ones available from a whole lot of stamp brands....the ones I've used today are from Paper Smooches and the stamp set I've used is called Chilly Chums...

The card base is from bright purple textured cardstock and the top layer is plain white.....I then stamped the images directly onto the top layer making sure to mask the Penguin in the middle before stamping the Walrus and the Seal and coloured them in....I used a stitched hillside border die to create the blue wave at the bottom...

I stamped the sentiment using black ink and used tiny dots stamps to fill up the background and a few purple sequins to embellish the card...

Thanks for visiting my blog today...Have a wonderful day ahead....!!

Bright Stripes Background Birthday Card

The background for this card turned out much brighter than I had planned....and that meant I had to be extremely careful while colouring in the image of the little girl so the background doesn't overshadow the main image....well,I did my best and here's the result....

The card base is plain pistachio green and the top layer is plain white....I decided to cut the top layer a bit smaller than usual for this card...I used a stencil and distress inks to print the background and then placed the coloured in image on it...

On a banner,I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder...I also cut a thin strip as well as a border using gold foil cardstock and adhered them on the top layer...,to embellish the card I used red and orange sequins...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card...Have a blessed day today...!!

Bright Cards

It's spring now....my favorite season....there are new leaves on the trees and the flowers are starting to bloom everywhere....and the days are longer...and it's bright and sunshiny on most days...and with a bit of inspiration from the weather,I made a couple of bright cards that I'm sharing with you today...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For the first card,I chose a bright orange card base....on the white top layer, I randomly stamped the dotted squares stamps in various sizes using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder....I then used bright Peerless watercolors to colour them in....

Once the top layer was dry,I adhered a vellum paper layer above it by wrapping a gold string around it...I then stamped and die cut a frame and stamped in the sentiment as well and placed it on the vellum layer...I also die cut a few sequins from gold foil and orange cardstock to embellish the card...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For my second card I chose a plain yellow card base....then,on a plain white top to layer,I stamped the clouds, sun, sentiment and little hearts and adhered it on one side of the card...I also adhered a couple of thin strips from blue glitter cardstock and orange foil cardstock onto the card...

Quick Stamping Background Card

This is one of my favorite techniques to make a quick card....repeat stamping using just a few small stamps to create a background...

The card base is plain pink and the top layer has been die cut from white cardstock using the large stitched rectangle die...I then took two small potted succulents stamps and stamped them repeatedly on the top layer using black ink....

Since the background looked a bit too simple,I decided to colour in just two of the images and placed a bright pink die cut word 'hello' and the card was ready...

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my card...Have a blessed day today...!!

Beautiful Peony Anniversary Card

Layering stamps have made things quite a bit easy for the artistically challenged crafters like me....I had my eye on the Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp set for a while and I finally bought it....the Peony flower is so beautiful and there are layered leaves and a few more stamps in this set...

I chose a black card base and a watercolor paper cardstock....I first stamped the flower and masked it before stamping the leaves and the tiny flower bunches...once that was done,I masked the leaves as well and used a light blue shade of Peerless watercolor to fill up all the white space on the top layer...

I heat embossed the sentiment on a black banner using white embossing powder and placed it on the top layer....I added a few pink sequins to embellish the card....

Thanks for visiting today...Have a lovely & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

Selfies on Cards

Amy Lee -The Craft Bunny is another extremely talented card maker and her blog is full of colourful and beautiful cards and some of them have tutorial videos as well...one of her tutorials that I absolutely loved teaches the Selfie Technique...my cards are nowhere near Amy's but I had a whole lot of fun trying out this technique to make two cards with whatever stamps I had on hand...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

The first card has a white card base and a glitter printed bright top layer....I created a colourful birthday party scene for this selfie and then adhered it to the back of a large Polaroid die cut...I stamped the sentiment on the Polaroid die and added a few enamel dots to embellish the card...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For my second card I chose a light yellow card base and a bright orange top layer...then using the Tim Holtz Cityscapes London stamp,I created 3 scenes and added a koala and a kitten image as the tourists taking these selfies...I added these scenes at the back of the small die cut Polaroid frames and adhered these on the top layer...I stamped the sentiment on the top layer and added a few clear sequins as well...

Super Special Amazing Birthday

I love creating backgrounds for my cards and this one was quite fun....the best part was that it wasn't planned but still turned out great....I like things this way...sometimes too much planning takes all the fun away don't you think??

I started with a Kraft card base and a watercolor paper top layer...I first sponged the top layer lightly with some squeezed lemonade distress ink and splattered a bit of water on it for effect....once it was dry I used the negative section of the leaf die cut as a stencil and shabby shutters distress ink to print the leaves onto the top layer...

I placed the three die cut leaves onto the top layer and placed the coloured in and cut out image of Boris the Badger on top of the leaves....I stamped the sentiment using black ink and have used a few sequins to embellish the card...

Thanks for visiting my blog today...Have a great day ahead....!!

Thanks For All You Do

Today I am sharing a simple thank you card...but to make it a bit more attractive and to make the die cut trees stand out,I have placed them onto small mat layers...

The card base is made from gold cardstock and the top layer has been cut out from a bright red card stock...I then die cut the trees using the MFT Trees in the forest dies and coloured then in using distress inks...I placed these die cut first on a black background and layered it with gold cardstock...

Once these mats were placed onto the top layer,I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card using black ink...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card...Have a blessed day today...!!

Split Card Design

Stamping doesn't always go to plan...especially for me...so I usually am super careful or else I end up spending too much time either trying to hide the mistake or starting again...so I decided to finally get myself the Mini Misti stamping tool by My Sweet Petunia and it's simply awesome...I even had a project tutorial bookmarked for trying out my Mini Misti...

The project is by Jennifer McGuire and called Split Card Design....I made two sets of cards after following her tutorial...Jennifer has also used heat embossing on her cards but I decided not to and assembled the card right after I stamped the top layers...

I'm sure one look at the cards and you must have worked out how these were made....I stamped one white top layer with blue ink and a blue top layer with black ink....the Misti tool comes in super handy here as both layers need to to stamped exactly the same way...I then held both these layers together under the trimmer and cut them horizontally right through the middle of the large stamped word...

All I had to do then was to swap the bottom parts of the layers and stick them onto the card base....I have used a few sequins to embellish the cards...

I got pretty excited about this split card technique and made another set... :)

For the first card,I have used a white card base and used distress inks to create the background on watercolor paper...the watercolor paper has been die cut using a stitched rectangle die...

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little gardener as well as the picket fence and the potted flowers..once these were placed on the top layer,I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card..

Oh Crab..I Forgot..

Unless a phone app or Facebook reminds us of upcoming birthdays and anniversaries, most of us easily forget....but look at the bright side...due to these app etc. we are wishing more people than we ever used to and that can't be bad...

For today's card I started with a plain black card base....I then cut up watercolor paper to size for the top layer and simply brushed on some blue and pink Peerless watercolors on it.....once dry,I used a few stitched border dies to create a bit of an effect on the top layer...

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped coloured in and cut out the crab image before placing it on the center of the card...I wanted the crab to look a bit sad but my colouring in skills don't extend that far...ha ha...I stamped the sentiment just above using black ink and decided not to embellish the card at all...

Thanks for visiting today...Have a happy and crafty day...!!

Blessings For A Happy Life

Every time I see a Hibiscus flower, I'm reminded of a few of my science teachers who taught us the parts of a flower using this very flower...visual memory is usually so much stronger than just memorising something off a book and not understanding it much...it's great to see that most teachers nowadays teach with visual teaching aids and topic related experiments and excursions...

For today's card I chose a black card base and a watercolor paper for the top layer...I sponged a few different green distress inks and then splattered some water for effect...

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the Hibiscus flowers and coloured them in using Peerless watercolors...once dry,I cut them out and placed them on the top layer and added a few die cut leaves as well...

I stamped the sentiment using black ink and placed a few clear sequins to embellish the card..

Thank you for stopping by to take a look...Have a blessed day today...!!
