Miss You Card

I don't know if there are any cardmakers who have never changed the idea/plan half way through making a card...papercraft is quite unpredicatable at times....something or the other might not not go to plan in a lot of projects...

The card I'm sharing today was almost ready when I looked at the bunny stamped image I had coloured in and thought it looked a bit sad - not cheerful enough for a birthday card - and decided to change the sentiment for the card....

The card base is textured blue cardstock and the top layer is plain white...I have rounded two opposite sides of the base and top layer with a corner rounder punch...I then stamped the top layer with just two stamps from Stampin' Up! Balloon celebration set using pink gumball dye ink...

I stamped and coloured in the bunny image on white cardstock and created a blue back panel for it...I rounded two edges of these panels as well...the sentiment has been stamped on a vellum strip and placed above the bunny image before adhering the panel to the top layer of the card...

I have used pink rhinestones to decorate the card..

Bright & Colourful Anniversary Card

I love bright cards and I'm surprised that I haven't made such a colourful anniversary card before...I also enjoyed making all the coordinating embellishments for this card...

The card base is made from textured green cardstock and I have cut the top layer to size from watercolor paper...I blended in various bright distress inks onto the watercolor paper and water stamped on it using an embossing folder....I added a strip of dark blue glitter cardstock on one side on the top layer...

I stamped two of the flowers form Tim Holtz Flower Garden set on white cardstock and coloured them in with peerless watercolours...once dry,I cut them out and placed them on the bottom corner of the top layer...I also die cut and punched out butterflies in various sizes using silver glitter cardstock and placed them on the card...

For the sentiment I coloured piece of white cardstock with pink watercolour and die cut the words and placed them on the card...I also adhered rhinestones on all the butterflies...

Many Thanks Card

I'm very excited to share this card today....it didn't take long to create it and I am pretty happy with the result myself....

I started with a light green card base and a plain white top layer...the coloured panel on top is actually a piece of white cardstock which is a left over from die cutting or a negative as some people call it...and I have simply coloured it in using various shades of green and yellow distress inks...I then cut a piece of vellum same size as the panel and adhered them both onto the white top layer...I have wrapped some silver string across the top layer before adhering it to the card base...

The sentiment is stamped and silver heat embossed on a small white banner and I have layered it with a larger green banner...before attaching the banner onto the card,I die cut two leaves from silver foil cardstock and glued them to the card...

I have used just a few silver rhinestones as embellishments...

I stamped, coloured in and cut out a butterfly and placed it on the card...I also used a few brown adhesive pearls to decorate the card...

Birthday Wishes Card

Today I'm sharing another bright and colourful birthday card....I have used abandoned coral distress ink to create the background for this card using the smoosh watercolour technique...

For this technique I die cut a piece of watercolor paper using the stitched rectangle die and then chose an acetate sheet approximately the same size and dabbed on some distress ink directly from the inkpad...I spritzed some water on the acetate sheet and quickly transferred the watery ink onto the watercolor paper..

Once the ink was dry,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder...I then adhered the top layer to a peach coloured card base....

I die cut a few leaves and sponged them with yellow and green shades of distress inks...I also stamped and coloured in an image of little girl using a gorjuss mini stamp and cut it out....I have used mama elephant confetti die and gold foil cardstock to die cut a few sequins as well...

Once everything was ready,I started adding then to the top layer...I started with a gold string and then placed the leaves before adding the little girl image on top....finally I added a few sequins to decorate the card...

Thinking About You Card

There is such a huge range of embellishments available these days for all sort of paper crafts....I don't use too many different types of embellishments but a few years ago I had bought these flower die cut by Kaisercraft and added them mostly to my scrapbooks pages but decided to use them in a card today...

The card base is a light olive green and the top layer is plain cream colour...I  rounded all four corners of the base and the top layer...I then die cut a polaroid frame and created a background for it and added the little girl image on it...

Before placing the polaroid frame onto the card,I placed three flower die cut shapes behind it...I stamped the sentiment on the top layer with red dye ink and adhered a few red rhinestones to decorate the card...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card today...Happy crafting..!!

Paris Cityscape Card

After making a hello card using the Sydney cityscape stamp a few days back,I kept my stamp set on my desk so I could think of something similar(yet different)for another card...I finally chose the Paris cityscape stamp from the set to make this card...

The card base is a very light grey and I have used watercolour paper for the top layer....to create the background I have used four different distress inks...I wanted to give it the effect of the sky after the  sun has set(I tried to!!)...

I then stamped the Paris stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder...I did the same for the sentiment and the stars stamps...and finally,I punched two hearts from red glitter cardstock and placed them above the sentiment...

Card Using Birthday Cake Digi by Cre8tive Hands

Today I'm sharing a card with yet another super cute image by Michelle Kierznowski....I loved the little rabbit looking from behind the huge cake...I coloured in the digi with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out so I could place it on a black die cut polaroid frame....I have gold heat embossed the sentiment directly on the frame...

Now that the main element of the card was ready,I started assembling the card...the card base is plain light green and the top layer has been cut out from gold cardstock...I then placed a strip each of black and gold glitter cardstock on one side of the top layer...I placed a gold doily near the top and then adhered the polaroid frame above it at an angle....

I die cut a few sequins from the same green cardstock and embellished the card with them as well as gold adhesive pearls to finish the card.....

Simple One layer B&W Card

Pinterest is so great for inspiration....unless you spend all your time pinning and have no time left for crafting...ha haaa....anyways,I had seen a single layer card with dotted circles a very long time back on Pinterest and had been wanting to try it out...

Here's the card I was talking about..Soapbox Creations by Laurie

So I pulled out my Fiskars Layer Away stamp set which is quite similar to the stamp set used by Laurie....and used a black ink to stamp the circles straight onto the white card...I also stamped the sentiment using the same black ink....

Since I wanted to use just one colour ink on the card,I went ahead and stamped the flowers on a separate piece using black ink and punched them out with the coordinating punch...I added a white adhesive pearl in the middle of these flowers before adhering them onto the card...

This card was made in record time and I think I will try it out in other colours soon...

Thanks for stopping by today...Hope you will have a great day ahead...Happy crafting...!!!

You & Me Card

Doesn't it feel great when you plan out a project and it turns out exactly as you had planned..??It happens to a lot of crafters but my projects don't necessarily follow my plans...at all..ha ha...but this one surprisingly did...

I started with a silver cardstock base and cut watercolour paper to size before colouring it in with Peacock Feather distress ink...the edges are a bit darker than the center but the photo doesn't show it that well...

I then used silver foil cardstock to die cut a fancy flourish and placed it on the top layer...then I die cut two hearts from vellum and coloured them in with a light marker and used a white gelly roll pen to create a stitched effect on the edges and placed them above the flourish...

On a silver banner,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with red embossing powder before placing it above the two vellum hearts...

Finally I decorated the card with small hearts that were die cut from red glitter cardstock using the confetti die by Mama Elephant...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card....Have a lovely & blessed day ahead...!!

With Love Card

I love making backgrounds for my cards....it makes the card unique and it's also helpful for me as I can coordinate my inks and embellishments easily...

On a red card base I have used a dark brown mat layer...the top layer is plain white and I have used various border stamps with dye inks to create the background for this card...

I then stamped the Gorjuss mini girl stamp on a separate piece of paper and coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers before cutting out and placing on the card...

The sentiment 'with love' is a die cut using brown glitter cardstock and I have also placed a few adhesive pearls in brown colour to decorate the card...

The Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes stamp set by Tim Holtz is simply beautiful...I have used them on various projects before but have never had a result like this one....

I started with a plain white card base and cut watercolour paper to size for the top layer....on that top layer I stamped the Sydney cityscape image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder....

I coloured in the image with light colours and then coloured in the sky and water using Peerless watercolours....The large word 'hello' has been die cut from gold glitter cardstock and I have decorated the card with a few blue sequins...

Beautiful Butterfly Digi Card

I have made this card today with yet another fabulous digi image by Michelle Kierznowski...I love butterfly stamps, dies and punches and use them a lot...so I was super excited to use this gorgeous zentangle type butterfly image that Michelle created....

The card base is a bright orange....I printed the butterfly digi on an A4 white cardstock at an angle and then die cut  it using the largest stitched rectangle die to create the top layer of the card...

Printing a larger image meant that I could colour in the details a bit better....and I have used Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the sections first and then have used fine liners to colour in some of the details...

I stamped the sentiment with black ink right at the top and have used a few rhinestones to decorate the card...

Simple Birthday Card

I like outline stamps...and while they are great for colouring in with watercolours, markers or pencils....they are also great as is....especially when you want to create something simple...

While I did want to create a simple card,I also wanted to use colours...so I have used various colours of dye inks to stamp the flowers from my Altenew Peony Scroll stamp set on a white top layer for this card....once the flowers were stamped,I have again used different shades of green and brown inks to fill in the spaces with the leaf stamps in the set...

The background was ready,so I adhered it to the plain purple card base....I have stamped the sentiment on a small purple banner using white heat embossing powder...and I have just used 3 sequins to decorate the card...

Have a happy & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

A Very Special Birthday Card

Today is a very special day...my elder daughter has turned 13 - a teenager now....can't believe how time flies...I can clearly remember being all excited about my 13th birthday so I'm guessing it's still a big deal for most kids... :)

The card that I'm sharing today is a bright and colourful one....the card base is plain orange and the top layer is a printed cardstock...I cut out the top layer in a way that the cloud print shows and becomes the background for the scene...

I then die cut four strips of paper in different shades of green using the stitched hillside borders dies and layered them at the base of the top layer....I stamped the images with the sentiments on a separate piece of white cardstock and coloured then in before cutting out and placing them on the card...

I have decorated the card with some die cut gold sequins...

Happy Thoughts Your Way Card

I wanted to make a card that could be used for any event or occasion...so I went through all my small stamps and decided to use an envelope stamp to create the background for this card....

The card base is plain pinkish-purple....and I have created the top layer by repeatedly stamping a small envelope stamp on white cardstock using various dye inks....I then masked the envelopes and covered the rest of the white space with distress inks..

I then die cut Vellum for the top layer using the largest of the stitched rectangle die and heat embossed the sentiment using a purple heat embossing powder....I also created a tiny envelope using double sided paper to add on the front of the card...

Finally I used a few sequins to decorate the top layer...these sequins also hide the sticky dots that I have used to adhere the vellum onto the card...

Thanks for stopping by today...Have a lovely & blessed day ahead....Happy crafting...!!

Sail Away With Me Card using Cre8tive Hands Digi

Hello and welcome...today I'm sharing a card I made using a digi created by the very talented Michelle Kierznowski...

For this card I have used this sweet digi called Sail Away....the card base is a plain light blue textured cardstock....I have printed the image and sentiment on a white cardstock and then used the stitched rectangle die to create the top panel for the card....

I coloured in the image using Spectrum Noir markers and the card was almost ready...but I wanted to make it a bit more attractive so I added a lot of small blue sequins on the outline of the three large waves......

I also placed a few sequins on the white space near the waves and left the rest of the white space blank...
