Card For An Online Friend

Thanks to the development of technology, the world feels like a small place.....and we are able to connect with a lot of people...some we had known in the past and some new ones whom we never met but are such awesome people that it is a pleasure to have them in out lives even though they're just online friends....

This card is for all my friends - both the online ones and the real ones :)

Now a bit about the card...the card base is plain white with a blue mat layer....the top layer is white as well and I have stamped the computer, keyboard and mouse image directly onto the top layer....yep,I was feeling a bit brave :)

After colouring in the main image,I stamped the sentiment on the computer screen....I also stamped  a small leaf stamp quite a few times and decorated the card with a few blue rhinestones...

Hope you liked this card....

Watercolour Stamping Birthday Card

I love watching tutorials for craft/stamping techniques...and I get very excited when sometimes(just sometimes)my results are pretty close to the tutorial I was following to create my project...I try my very best not to 'copy' something as is....where's the fun in that....

The card that I'm sharing today has been made by following a tutorial by Dawn on the Wplus9 Blog called Watercolor Stamping With Hand Doodling...Now I did skip the doodling part as I'm not very good at drawing of any sort....luckily I had the outline stamp for the stamp set I used and I didn't have to doodle.. :)

I have created this card using the Stampin Up Balloon Celebration Stamp set as well as the coordinating punch to create masks easily...

In short, the technique is about using a solid stamp and dabbing a bit of distress ink on it and very little water to spread it around and then quickly stamping it onto the watercolor cardstock...Dawn used a black pen to doodle around and finish the images while I simply used stamps....

For the sentiment,I die cut the 'Happy' word from black glitter cardstock and created a banner to stamp the word 'Birthday' on it....and the card was ready....

Hope you liked this card....thanks for stopping by today...

Card For Creative Hands Friends FB Progressive Challenge #4

After posting my very first card using a digi image for a Facebook challenge & winning it,I was extremely excited(I won 3 awesome digi's as a prize too!!)....and then a few days back I was asked to try out as a DT member for them....things are pretty great right now... :)

Before I start,I must thank Julie Curtis - for very patiently helping and guiding me and of course Michelle Kierznowski - the creator of all the wonderful digi's and our sponsor...

The Facebook challenge runs for two weeks each which is ample time for you to create a project...A new challenge starts every other Tuesday and the current one started on the 26th of April so if you rush over and join our FB group - Cre8tive Hands Fans - you could participate in the latest challenge...the digi for the challenge is FREE....

I do hope you will join in and participate...it's good fun....

So here's my card for FB Progressive Challenge #4.....

I started with a blue card base and a white top layer...on the top layer I have stamped a striped border stamp repeatedly with blue ink to create a background.....I heat embossed the sentiment at the top using black heat embossing powder...

I then printed the challenge digi and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir Markers and cut it out...I placed that onto the top layer using large bits of adhesive foam...and finally I used clear sequins to decorate the card...

Hope you liked this card....Thanks for stopping by....

Green Leaves Thanks Card

I'm sharing a simple 'Thanks' card today...so I looked through my dies folders and found this die that I  have rarely used...it's called Leafy Vine by QuiKutz....which was perfect for this card....

I started with a light earthy coloured card base and a plain black top layer.....Then I die cut two different shades of green card stock using the Leafy Vine die....the first one I die cut normally....but for the second one,I flipped the die cut back to front so that both the die cuts don't look similar....I also shortened the length of the light green die cut....

Once the die cuts were adhered to the top layer,I punched a banner from gold cardstock and stamped the sentiment on it and adhere it near the top of the card....I have also used a few tiny sequins to decorate the card...

Hope you liked it...

Happy Birthday Shaker Card

I love creating shaker pockets for cards, bookmarks or tags....and today I've tried out a shaped shaker pocket for a card front...this time I've tried to be very neat so that I don't have to cover up the edges with a frame or embellishments...which also means that this card is not bulky at all and can be posted as standard post...

I started with a bright pink card base and a bright green top layer....I then created the shaker pocket using the fuse tool and a photo sleeve pocket which I filled up with lots of bright sequins before sealing it at the top...

I then attached the fuse pocket to the top of the card and added a scalloped border strip from pink foil cardstock over it...I used the same foil card stock to punch out a circle for the stamped sentiment as well as the die cut scripty 'Happy Birthday' word and placed these on the card..

Just realised that I did not add the dot on the 'i' from the die cut....also known as a 'tittle'....I'll add it now but there is no time to re-shoot... :)

Hope you liked this card...

One Layer Cards

Today I'm sharing two cards with you....both are single layered ones and I've followed the tutorials printed in the latest issue I received of the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vol. 22 No. 9

The first one is on Pg 56 by Cindi Gilfillian.....and she has taught how to mask a larger area on a card front and stamp on rest of the card....

I have used a plain white card base and used a shaped mask to cover one section of the card and then used a lot of large and small flower stamps and bright inks to cover the whole card....

Once the stamping was complete,I simply lifted the mask and stamped the large sentiment with bright red ink...I have also used clear sequins to decorate this card...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

Now the second card I tried from this magazine is on Pg 44 by Linda Langes called Hedgehog Balloon....the idea of these cards is to have a plain card front with a bright and colourful scene inside...

I started with a plain white card base and die cut a balloon on the front and stamped a string and adhered the stamped, coloured in and fussy-cut image of a little boy....this die cut section would see through to the inside of the card...

On the inside,I stamped the balloon images with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder....I then covered the whole section with Mustard Seed distress ink...then to make it more colourful,I stamped flowers in various colours...

I die cut the word 'happy' from blue foil cardstock and stamped the word 'birthday' on red cardstock and placed it on the inside of the card and the card was ready....

I had a lot of fun making these cards and I hope you liked both of them...

Thanks for stopping by...

You're The Best Card

I am always looking for ways to use black cardstock in an uncomplicated way as it often gives me a hard time somehow...I like it because it makes light colours and images stand out much better....

For today's card I have used a plain white card base and the top layer is plain black...I used the stitched rectangle dies to create a frame from white cardstock...I stamped, coloured and cut out two flower images and placed it under the frame....then I adhered the frame right in the middle on top of the black top layer...

I also stamped, coloured in and cut out an image from Gorjuss mini stamps and placed it on top of the frame with the help of adhesive foam squares....the sentiment is stamped on yellow cardstock banner and I have added a few yellow sequins inside the frame to brighten up the card...

Hope you liked this card...Thanks for visiting my blog today...

Indian Themed Paisley & Watercolour Card

This paisley stamp is among the first few I bought when I was starting out.....and I love it and use it a lot....but I don't think I have ever made a bright and colourful card like this one before using this stamp...reminds me of the hand printed scarves I had seen in Rajasthan,India...

The card base is plain bright blue and the top layer is made from Ranger watercolor paper....I first stamped the images randomly using Versamark ink and then heat embossed them using black embossing powder...once that was done,I coloured them all in with Peerless watercolors...

Next,I die cut the word 'Happy' from blue and gold glitter cardstock and layered them before placing on the card....the word 'Birthday' is also die cut from the same gold cardstock but instead of using the die cut I have used the negative and placed a strip of blue cardstock underneath..I have used sequins is various colours to decorate the card...

Hope you like this card as much as I do...

Love You - Tag On A Card

Today I'm sharing a simple card but I have tried out a technique on the background...I don't know if this technique has a proper name...I have inked the stamp once and stamped thrice...the second and third stamping is much lighter but is still visible and gives a nice effect...

I chose a plain light pink card base....and the top layer is plain white....after stamping the bottom two layers with red and purple ink,I used pink dye ink to create the rest of the background...

Once the background was ready,I stamped and die cut a tag from vellum paper and another tag from pink glitter cardstock...tied a ribbon bow at the top and placed it on the middle of the card...

Hope you liked this card...

Anniversary Birdies Card

I wanted to make a cute Anniversary card and also wanted it to be a bit different from all the Anniversary cards I have made till now...

I started with a plain pink textured card base and a white top layer.....I created the top layer background by dabbing various distress inks on a dots embossing folder and very lightly sprayed water on it and quickly pressed it on the white top layer...

I stamped some clouds and a bird house on printed cardstock, cut them out and placed them on the top layer....I also stamped and coloured two cute little birds and placed them on top of the bird house...

The sentiment is stamped with black ink and I've used a few sequins to decorate the card...

Hope you liked this card...

Bright And Wonderful Card

I am quite partial to cute stamps of little girls and when I saw the Gorjuss Mini stamps from Santoro...I went ahead and bought a few....and I'm sure I'l be using them a lot as they are the perfect size for cards or tags...

The card I'm sharing today has a plain white card base and a whie ge top layer as well....On the top layer I have stamped Decorative Tape Pieces by Kaisercraft in various ink colours on one side....and on the the other side I have stamped the sentiment at  the top and placed a coloured in and cut out image near the base...

I have used a few rhinestones to decorate the card....

Hope you liked this card....

Distress Ink Lifting Technique Tried Again

Last month I shared a card in which I had tried the Distress Ink Lifting technique(Post#193)for the first time after following a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire...now that was my trial/practice card but I felt it turned out great so was happy to share it on my blog....

I've tried that technique again....and hopefully you'll agree that I've done a better job this time...At first it may look like I used Kraft Cardstock for the top layer.....but I've not...read on and you'll find out...

The card base is plain light yellow and the top layer is made from plain white watercolour cardstock....I have stamped the roses and petals with Versamark in and heat embossed them using white embossing powder...now the fun starts....I used Tea Dye Distress inkpad to liberally cover the whole top layer with ink....

Then I used an aqua brush to lift ink from inside the embossed images...and once it was dry,I used mowed lawn, picked raspberry and seedless preserves to colour in....and just so the focus remains on the technique,I have used die cut sequins from gold cardstock as well as a banner for the sentiment...

What do you think about this card..??Hope you liked it...

Watercolour Wash With Gold Embossing card

This simple watercolour wash technique seems to be pretty popular again these days...I've tried this  effect out with watercolours and distress inks quite a few times....a lot of card makers are even using stamping ink to create fabulous watercolour effect backgrounds for their cards and projects....

The card base is a plain light blue....The top layer is white watercolor paper on which I've used a single shade of Peerless watercolours to create the light background....I have used gold heat embossing powder and versamark ink to stamp and heat emboss the large sentiment stamp...

I have also stamped a few hearts on the card with red ink to bring a bit of brightness on the card....and to decorate the card a bit more,I have adhered a few hearts die cut from gold cardstock...

It's quite a simple looking card but I do like it and I hope you do too...

2 Cards - 1st Using Chalks & 2nd Using Paper Weaving Technique

I'll be sharing two cards today....On the first one I have used craft chalks to colour in and for the second card I have tried out paper weaving but probably didn't get quite right with the colours I've used....

I have used Kraft cardstock as the base for the first card and a light pink mat....I again used Kraft cardstock as the top layer and stamped the banner with white ink...once the ink was dry,I used an aqua brush to lift chalk and and colour in...

I then stamped the sentiment on on pink banner and adhered it to the card and decorated it with some adhesive white pearls...

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

Now for this second card,I have created a paper weaving background....I cut equal long strips from two different printer papers and started weaving...I really enjoyed this part....

The card base is green and there is a mat layer of black cardstock...and then placed the weaved top layer....I stamped the sentiment with white ink on a black banner and decorated the card with copper coloured sequins...

I do hope you liked the cards that I've shared today....Hopefully I can do better next time with chalk and weaving techniques...

Thanks for stopping by to take a look...

Cute Purse Style Box

The first time I tried this box out years ago,I didn't quite get it right and probably didn't have the patience to understand and execute the design properly....so I'm very glad Sam(from Pootles)made this very box/purse again for the way back wednesday theme that she's been doing at her blog these days....

Here's the link for the tutorial by Sam Hammond - Way Back Wednesday Easy Stick Purse Tutorial

It's a very cute little purse box and can hold quite a bit inside it....for my box I have used a plain pink cardstock for the base and the top layer paper is from Stampin Up! DSP stack called It's My Party...

I hope you liked this box and will give it a try yourself too....

Many Happy Thoughts Card

Today I'm sharing yet another card made using Mama Elephant stamp set....I loved these stamps so much,I couldn't stop using them...and my colouring in wasn't too bad this time so it made the results even more exciting...

The card base is plain and I think the colour is kind of deep peach-ish red...I did not use any top layer in this card....The sentiment is stamped on a silver banner with another silver glitter cardstock banner layered underneath....

The main images were stamped, coloured and cut out and placed on a rectangular printed die cut....but when I die cut that rectangle,I realised that the leftover piece looked like a Polaroid frame and because it was double sided paper,I simply flipped it and added it around the rectangle....

I have used clear sequins to decorate the card...

Hope you liked the card....and my super idea of creating a Polaroid frame from the leftover card piece... :) :)

Happy Birthday To Me :)

Yes,it is my birthday today....I don't want to think about my age or growing old but I can't wait to open the cards that my daughters have made for me...the cards they make for me are my most favorite  and precious possessions...

Today I'm sharing a shaker card....It had been a while since I picked up the fuse tool so thought it was high time I made one...The card base is plain red....I created a base layer which has been coloured in using distress inks and I splattered water on it for effect...I also stamped the sentiment near the top and placed it inside the clear pocket...the pocket is filled it up with sequin die cuts and other sequins and then sealed completely...

I then die cut a rectangular frame from gold foil cardstock and firmly adhered the pocket behind the frame before attaching it to the card base...

Finally I added a stamped, coloured in and cut out image of the little critter from Mama Elephant Three Amigos set and placed it on top of the rectangular frame....I think whenever I place the image inside the pocket,it's hardly visible because of all the sequins inside it...

Hope you liked this card as much as I do....Thanks for visiting my blog...

Lucky Card

In everyone's life, there are a few people who bring out the best in them....they appreciate and encourage you and you feel great around them.....but these people won't stay like this forever....they need to feel appreciated as well....so if you have great people in your life, try and give them more importance than the ones who bug and trouble you infinitely....

I have a handful of great friends, and I absolutely adore each and every one of them....

Now let me tell you about this card I'm sharing with you today...The card base and top layer are both plain white...On the top layer I have repeatedly stamped the flower and leaf image from Stampin Up! Stamp Set called What I love....On a 1&1/2" strip of blue cardstock I stamped the sentiment with black ink and added a few strips of foil cardstock on it before placing it on the top layer...

The card was ready pretty quickly...I just added a few rhinstones to finish the card...

Hope you like this card...Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog...I appreciate it a lot...

Get Carried Away Card

Here's another card I made using Mama Elephant stamp set....this one is called Carried Away....I usually don't buy coordinating dies,so I cut out all the images by hand....

The card base is light orange and the top layer is die cut using the largest rectangle stitch die....I then prepared the top layer using distress inks...it took a while to get it right but I finally got there...I stamped the sentiment at the base of this top layer...

I then stamped all the images on a separate piece of paper and coloured them all in as best as I could and cut them all out...I attached the little boy image on top of the balloon and used adhesive foam under it before placing it onto the card...the little bunny and balloon string are adhered directly onto the top layer...

Finally I used Mama Elephant Confetti Die with gold cardstock and placed these various sized stars on the card...

I do hope you like this card as much as I do...

Special Day Wishes Bright Card

I started this card with the plan that I was going to use a stencil to create a background and then add layers on it....but the stenciled images turned out quite nice so I used the top layer as is....

The card base is bright pink and has an orange mat...the top layer is white and I have used distress inks and  a flower stencil to print this image on it...in the middle of each flower is a tiny punched glitter flower....I have also added two strips of glitter cardstock on one side...

The sentiment is stamped directly on the top layer with orange dye ink.....and I have used dark pink sequins to decorate the card...

It's a simple card but I think it still looks great...what do you think??

You're Cute Card

I recently bought a couple of stamp sets by Mama Elephant and this one is super cute....it's called Three Amigos and has three of these critters, each displaying a sign and there are so many options for the message that you want them to display...this is my first card using this stamp set and I decided to use all three of these cuties...

On a white card base,I used a much smaller top layer which has been die cut using the stitched rectangular die...and then I simply washed over a bit of light yellow colour from peerless watercolors...Once it was dry I adhered two strips of green glitter tape on it...

Then I stamped, coloured and cut out the critters and adhered them onto the top layer using adhesive foam squares....I also added foam tape under the top layer before attaching it to the card base....this card didn't need much embellishment,so I just added a few red glitter hearts near the base...

Hope you liked this card...

Hello Card

Today I'm sharing a simple hello card...I have used light colours but have still managed to brighten it using sequins and rhinestones...

The card base is plain cream colour and the top layer is made from watercolour paper which I have coloured using an aqua brush and lifted colour directly from cheap watercolour pencils...once this was dry,I stamped the flower images at the base...I used a Versamark pen to make dots around and above these stamped images and heat embossed using gold embossing powder(it doesn't show well in the picture,sorry)...

I added three strips of gold foil cardstock on the top layer and placed a light pink die cut with the stamped sentiment on it....and to decorate the card I have used a lot of gold sequins as well as tiny red rhinestones on the flowers...

Hope you liked this card..

Happy Happy Happy Birthday To You Card

I'm sure it happens with most crafters....you think of an idea and get very excited about it....but when you are half way through, things happen and you don't get the result you had envisioned....at this moment you make a decision either to scrap or salvage....and considering how very costly craft supplies are(in Australia at least),I'm sure most crafters in this situation try their very best to salvage the project....

So here's how this card went.....I started with a red card base and a white top layer....on the top layer I stamped a few different patterned circle images with versamark ink and heat embossed them using black embossing powder....I noticed that some circles did not emboss properly but it wasn't a big deal so I carried on and used watercolours to colour in the all the circles....the result wasn't that great...maybe I should've used a single colour...anyways,I decided to carry on and not scrap it...

So I die cut a Vellum sheet using stitched rectangle die same size as the top layer and adhere it using brads on all four corners....I then die cut the happy word 3 times using red glitter cardstock and adhere them to the vellum...then I cut a silver banner and stamped the words 'Birthday to you!' on it and adhered it below the happy words...Finally I added a few silver star sequins and my card was complete....

What do you think about this card??Do you like how it turned out in the end??Let me know...
