Scrapbook Boutique July 2017 Challenge

It is always very exciting for me to wait for the Scrapbook Boutique blog monthly challenge moodboard...you never know what the theme is going to be...and there are always hundreds of ways one can be inspired by it...I have made two cards for this challenge and have kept things mostly simple(blaming it on the super freezing winters..!!)...

And this is the inspiration mood board for this month's challenge...

For my first card I chose a plain white card base and a die cut white top layer..I then used salty ocean Distress Ink and Graffiti Scribble Altenew stencil to create the background..I also sprinkled some water for effect...

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the fairy and butterfly image using Versafine black onyx ink and then heat embossed it using white pearl embossing powder so that the images are not a bright black but rather a soft grey colour...I coloured in the butterfly, flower, leaves and the fairy wings using some watercolour brush markers....once dry,I cut them out and adhered them to the card and used glossy accents and Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to add shimmer and gloss on certain sections of the images...

I simply stamped the sentiment on a white strip and adhered a bit of white craft foam under it before adhering it to the card...I have used Sea Breeze Nuvo Jewel Drops to embellish this card...

My second card is even simpler than my first one...I chose a white card base and a white front panel for it...I first stamped the two house/building images using Altenew Caribbean Sky shade of ink and then used the MFT cloud stencil and salty ocean Distress ink to print the clouds at the top of the front panel...

I then stamped the third house on a separate piece of cardstock using broken china Distress Oxide ink..I cut it out and placed it above the two stamped images using some craft foam underneath...

I stamped the sentiment directly on the front panel using blue ink and adhered a few die cut hearts from red glitter cardstock and my card was ready...
